How Smartflow handles dynamic QR codes

A QR Code or “Quick Response” is a mobile phone readable bar code that can store website URL’s, plain text, phone numbers, email addresses and pretty much any other alphanumeric data. Consumers can download code readers to their smartphones and it seems likely that in the near future smartphone manufacturers will pre-install code reading apps onto smartphones.

The younger generation are most likely to use code readers on their smartphones due to the popularity of social media platforms like Snapchat and it’s estimated that around 90% of younger smartphone users have a QR code reader installed on their smartphone.

When considering the retail environment and consumers shopping activities is already clear that apps that are available to enable consumers to check availability and to compare pricing as they shop are becoming extremely popular. Code scanners can be used to scan codes found anywhere including packaging, point of sale, billboards, magazines and online.

QR codes are not a dying technology they are here to stay!

Smartflow, our digital workflow system, can enable the production of unique pieces of printed packaging that features unique QR codes. These QR codes can provide connections to any online location which opens up opportunities for brands to link their personalised products to personalised digital experiences.
